John Ernser was hired as a Yorkville High School PE/Health/Driver Ed teacher in 2016.

 

In his time at YHS John has taught a variety of courses within the department, and was named the Department Chair in 2021. John is currently an Assistant Football Coach and has also coached for several years in the Softball program as an Assistant Coach. Before his time at YHS, John taught for 11 years at Lincoln Middle School in Schiller Park, where he also served as the Team Leader and Athletic Director.

 

John received his Bachelor's Degree from Ripon College in Exercise Science and Health, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University of Chicago, and a Certificate of Graduate Study in Adapted Physical Education from Northern Illinois University.

 

When not serving the YHS Community, John enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children.
