Speech Team is a competitive IHSA activity that consists of 14 events including acting, public speaking, writing, radio broadcasting, and poetry reading, among others. Speech team is an excellent way to practice skills needed for the future. Tryouts are normally held early in the school year. Students have the opportunity to earn varsity letters and compete in the state series.
